广州粤剧一团（团长）当家花旦，国家一级演员，第十四届中国戏剧梅花奖获得者。人称“金嗓子”、“小曲王”，是当今粤剧舞台上声、色、艺俱全，文武双绝的粤剧表演艺术家。

主演《杨门女将》，获1980年广东省粤剧百花奖最佳女演员奖，广东省第二、四、五、六届艺术节中分别获表演一等奖；主演《家》获全国首次戏曲现代戏优秀唱段征集评奖演唱艺术奖；《睿王与庄妃》获第十四届中国戏剧梅花奖、第五届中国戏剧表演优秀奖；主演《土缘》获中宣部“五个一工程”奖。多年来主演的《定情剑底女儿香》、《范蠡献西施》、《白蛇传》、《西厢月下情》、《南越王后》，《土缘》、《花月影》等二十多个长剧，在粤剧艺术的继承、创新上都作了大胆的探索，受到了广大粤剧爱好者的欢迎。


Cantonese Opera: Ni Huiying

Ni Huiying is a Master of Cantonese Opera, Director of Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troup. joined the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Troup in 1970 when she was 14 years old. She gained supports from the Guangzhou government to develop the Cantonese Opera during the 1990's under her great efforts.

Also in recent years, Ni devoted herself in changing the orthodox idea in people's mind that Cantonese Opera is only for the seniors. She began promotion activities in universities in the city and filled the traditional performance with modern elements. "Cantonese Opera has its great vitality." Said Ni.
